The Duke Marine Laboratory welcomed Prof. Jed Fuhrman from USC. Prof. Fuhrman presented lectures to Marine Microbial Ecology and Biological Oceanography classes taught by Zackary Johnson and Richard Barber, respectively. Prof. Fuhrman also gave a fascinating seminar titled, “Three decades of discovery in marine microbial ecology” documenting the exciting progression of microbial sciences.
